2018 CSA Shares

*** We have filled our CSA shares for 2018! ***

We are excited to offer CSA shares for 2018! Each weekly basket will include a variety of produce. Pictures of your produce along with some tips and recipes will be shared via email and a Facebook page on a weekly basis. There will be 16 weeks (2 more than last season) of produce baskets and 3-4 off weeks to allow us a break and also to allow you to “catch up” on any excess produce you may have accumulated. We tentatively have a start date of June 12.

What is a CSA? Consumers and farmers enter partnerships to create mutually beneficial and ecologically sound local food systems. You, as the consumer, benefit by receiving fresh, seasonal produce grown locally by someone you know. We, the growers, benefit by receiving income in the off-season to help with costs of seeds, equipment, and labor.

Interested in a CSA basket credit opportunity? We need help planting onions and we’d love for you to be a part of the experience! We are looking for 6-8 CSA members (over age 18) to spend a few hours at the farm with us the morning of Saturday, April 28 (weather permitting) planting onions and enjoying lunch with the group. For your time, we will issue you a refund equivalent to one week of your CSA share, made payable that day.

Interested in splitting a share? Let us know if you’d like to split a share with someone. We will connect you with others interested in splitting a CSA share. It will be your responsibility to work together and decide how you want to split the share.

With a B&G Produce CSA share you’ll experience seasonality at its best. Tomatoes picked when they are ripe instead of harvested green and then “ripening” on their long journey across the country to your dinner table. Unique items you will not see in your local grocery store, such as garlic scapes and fava beans. The flavor of fresh-from-the-garden produce is unforgettable. We are hoping to include some apples again this year.
